My name is Dan LaSota. I am an outdoor enthusiast, explorer, adventurer, and world traveler. I have been fishing for 35 years and have had the opportunity to chase many species in many different locations. I have always enjoyed experiences over material things. It's always been about the story of an experience for me and I wanted to create a product that captures that same experience for others. I was living overseas when I decided to work on this idea more and to develop a customized product for any fisherman. Whether it's your first fish ever, first of a species, personal best, or favorite memorable experience, our product is a great way to capture and display that memory and tell your story.

Paul Vecsei is a fisheries biologist living in the Northwest Territories on the shores of Great Slave Lake. He specialises in scientific illustration but is also an underwater photographer. He has lived in Athens Georgia during his PhD work and has spent many years on Lake Michigan working with Lake Sturgeon. He has illustrated most freshwater species commonly known to North Americans but also many fishes of Europe.

His illustration technique is a combination of oil-based and wax-based color pencil. Accuracy is of paramount importance in these morphological renderings. Most drawings are done between 16 to 27 inches in size. It takes approximately 1 week of rigourous work per illustration.
